Meet The Team

John brings 30 years of experience to the custom home building industry. After earning his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, he founded Homes by McKenzie in 1993. John finds great fulfillment in turning clients’ dream homes into reality, always striving for excellence in his work. Outside of his professional life, he is involved as a partner in the Jubilee Village Project in Kenya and volunteers with YoungLife at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School. When he's off the clock, John enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, cheering on the Colts and Boilermakers, and staying active. A proud achievement, he summited Mount Kilimanjaro in 2013.

Geoff is a University of Dayton graduate with extensive experience in New Home Sales and Real Estate. He finds purpose and joy in working closely with buyers to help bring their dream home vision to life. Outside of work, Geoff is passionate about fitness and nutrition, holding a NASM Certified Personal Trainer designation. And of course, he's an avid golfer! Above all, he treasures spending time with his family, particularly his two grandsons, who are his greatest joy and the driving force behind it all.

Crissy has spent the last seven years in new home sales, helping people create the perfect foundation for the next chapter of their lives. She views her role as a blend of her two passions: supporting others when they need it and everything related to homes. Previously a high school teacher and having grown up surrounded by construction, Crissy takes the time to truly understand the needs of homebuyers, approaching each process as a collaborative partnership. Above all, she cherishes the lasting friendships she builds along the way. In her free time, Crissy loves spending time with her family, discovering new healthy and delicious recipes, enjoying nature, and driving fast cars.

Jodi is the co-owner of McKenzie Pierrot Homes, where she leads a personalized design and build approach. With each project, Jodi aims to craft homes that blend timeless elegance with the functional needs of today’s modern family. Drawing inspiration from classic architecture and English-style interiors, Jodi curates every detail—from the initial design to the final touches—sourcing materials from around the world.

Elizabeth, a Purdue University graduate, has built a successful career in various management roles. She has been with McKenzie Collections for three years, where she works closely with our designers, field team, and vendors. As a skilled manager, Liz is highly organized and always prioritizes the needs of our McKenzie Collection customers. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, having girls' days with her mom, and cheering on her daughter at softball games.

A Marian University graduate, Morgan transitioned from her career as an educator to pursue her passion for design. She brings a sharp eye for detail, a go-getter attitude, and exceptional organizational skills to every project. Morgan plays a key role behind the scenes, collaborating with clients, our design team, and handling marketing and social media. Morgan also dedicates part of her time to working with McKenzie Pierrot Homes, a boutique design and build group.

Before joining the McKenzie Team, Chris successfully ran a renovation company for 15 years. As a third-generation builder, he brings a wealth of experience in residential and light commercial construction management. Chris is dedicated to prioritizing his homeowners and building strong relationships in business. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, with sports and staying active being an important part of their family life.

Steve has been an Assistant Project Manager with McKenzie Collection since March 2018. With nearly a decade of experience in the construction industry, the majority of his time has been spent as an electrician. Outside of work, Steve loves spending time with family and friends, and he’s also passionate about racing and riding ATVs.

Before joining the McKenzie team, Jake gained experience at a landscaping company, where he began as a crew member and rapidly advanced to a foreman position. In this role, he managed a team and supervised various commercial and residential landscaping projects, including some for Homes by McKenzie. Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending time with his dogs, watching movies, and cooking.

Emma Barker is the owner of Embarking on Design and a contracted designer with McKenzie Collection. With a wealth of experience in customer service, visual merchandising, and interior design, Emma is passionate about creating beautiful, functional spaces that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
